For the past year and a half, I have been working on my master degree at American College of Education. It is all online, making it easy to do during my busy schedule! One of the classes I took at ACE was called The Digital Educator. In this course, I researched lots of new websites and apps, and anything to do with technology. One of the many resources I stumbled upon was Class Dojo.
What is Class Dojo? Class Dojo is a online classroom management tool that engages the class by creating monster avatars and awarding points to behaved students. Pros of Class Dojo: • Award good behavior with points
• You can customize the behaviors you want. For example: you can give points for raising your hand or lining up quietly.
• Class dojo has a built in messenger to easily keep in touch with parents

• Class dojo also sends a daily and weekly report to parents so they can be informed of how their child was that day/week
• Students can change their avatar (THEY LOVE THIS!) • Put Class Dojo up on the projector/screen and students will be more engaged!
• Class Dojo has an iPad and iPhone app! Cons of Class Dojo:
• It makes a noise when you give a negative point (this may hurt students feelings and cause them to feel singled out) • I literally can’t think of any other cons (IT IS THAT AMAZING!)
